Faced with rapid growth in its B2B and B2C operations, VandB has invested in automation to optimize its logistics. In 2024, a new 7,200 m² warehouse was inaugurated, integrating the SCALLOG robotic solution. This technology helps streamline space, speed up order picking, and address labor shortages. Thanks to this transformation, VandB can better handle activity peaks, especially during the holiday season.
The heart of the project lies in the SCALLOG "Goods to Person" solution, which automates the storage and picking of bottles. With 150 mobile shelves and 7 robots, order picking is three times faster. Operators benefit from improved working conditions by reducing movement and handling. This innovative system allows for an unprecedented rate of 250 bottles prepared per hour per operator.
VandB has designed its warehouse with the needs of its franchisees in mind. Orders are prepared in sealed and returnable bins, ensuring product protection and facilitating shelf placement. This approach minimizes waste and improves stock tracking. Automation also ensures smooth management of the different product categories, from beers to spirits, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
With this technological advancement, VandB is not only improving its productivity but also strengthening its environmental and social commitment. The reduction of waste, optimization of storage spaces, and the reduction of work strain are at the heart of the project. In 2026, the company plans to further expand its warehouse and diversify its offerings, particularly in the rapidly growing craft beer and non-alcoholic beverage segments.
